Sporting a hot new disposable camera!

Well, disposable cameras have become the hot new item in and around Thailand now! We purchased our first of probably 3 while here. It is going to be a real pain in the butt, but such is life. Our only hope is that the reps from Pentax get back to our email saying that we can trade in our broken one for a new one somewhere in Bangkok.

We have found that we are very good at wasting hours at a time on the scooter. We try to be good tourists and seek out the cultural experiences, but more often than not we end up on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, or one that seems to be trying to steal our lives away with huge potholes, washed out sections, and ruts that would make any on a BC logging road look small. Today was no exception - we were trying to find the stones that had the Kings of the past few hundred years inscriptions on it - we gave up after a few hours.

We are going back to the beaches we visited our first day here. This will be our last day of beach time as we are leaving to Malaysia now for a VISA run tonight (that in itself is and was an episode of madness!)

We were supposed to leave last night for Myanmar, but the guy who was taking us didn't want to go, so instead we are going to Malaysia today. We wish we would have some more beach time, but apparently Authaya (sp?) and Chang Mai are really nice this time of year. However, this probably means the mosquitoes will be out in full force. We are already nursing a few dozen bites between the two of us.

We will post when we are able to, but probably not for a couple days until we get to Authaya or Sukothai late tomorrow night or the following day.
